허지인 Jean Huh

패션 스타일링 분야에서 활동해온 허지인은 비주얼과 음악에 대한 본인의 동시적인 관심을 이용해, 현재는 아이돌 비주얼 디렉팅 분야에서 활동 중이다. 음악은 물론, 인물, 특히 여성을 대상으로 한 시각화 작업에 즐거움과 사명감을 함께 지니고 있는 그는 2018년, 금시원과 함께 〈헤비 매거진〉을 시작했고 에디터로 활동하고 있다.


Jean Huh who has worked as a fashion stylist is now working in Idol(K-pop artist) visual directing field by using her interest in both visuals and music. With her enthusiasm and sense of duty on visualizing music and subjects(especially females), she launched Heavy Magazine with Xione Qin. She also works as an editor of the magazine.

금시원 Xione Qin

금시원은 의상디자인과를 졸업한 후, 주목하고 싶은 인물, 그들이 입는 옷, 그들이 하는 공연을 찍고 있다. 세상이 말하는 ‘사진은 이래야 한다’라는 불문율에 늘 조금쯤은 의문을 가지고 있다. 2017년부터 언더그라운드 씬의 여성 DJ, 뮤지션을 찍는 〈THE-NEW-LAYER〉 프로젝트를 진행하고 있다. 2018년 가을 〈헤비 매거진〉을 허지인과 함께 시작했다.


After completing her fashion design degree, Xione Qin started taking photographs of portraits, outfits, and performances of a figure who draws her attention. She subtly questions about conventional norms of “how photography should be” and has operated THE-NEW-LAYER, archiving portraits of underground female DJs and musicians, since 2017. She started Heavy Magazine with Jean Huh in fall 2018.

Two Creatures

금시원과 허지인은 인물, 패션 사진이라면 으레 그렇듯 주어진 틀에서의 작은 탈피를 고민한다. 크고 작은 규칙과 강박에서 벗어난 자유로운 두 명의 여성을 바라본다.

Xione Quin and Jean Huh contemplate how to depart from the convention of portrait and fashion photography. They search for two liberated women free from various rules and compulsions.
